Civil Engineer
San Dieguito Engineering (SDE) is looking to hire
a full-time, key position as a Civil Engineer.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive
    civil engineering experience emphasizing
    hydrology and hydraulics and stormwater
    specialties
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or
    equivalent experience
  • Master's Degree in Stormwater Hydraulics
    can be considered 2 years of experience
  • California EIT or PE, or ability to attain PE
    in 1 year
  • Proficient in AutoCAD in preparing
    Stormwater Plans & Report Exhibits
  • Proficient in preparing drainage studies and
    hydrology and hydraulic modelling utilities
    (AES, FlowMaster, and StormCAD)
  • Proficient in preparing stormwater quality
    management plans for large and small projects
    and is knowledgeable of the requirements in
    the SWRCB Program 9
  • Experience with SCCWRP and SWMM analysis
    is preferred
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral
    communication skills
  • Team player

PLANNING

Regulatory Land Use Planner
San Dieguito Engineering (SDE) is looking to hire a full-time Regulatory Land Use Planner.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Microsoft Office is required and the ability to create graphics using Google Earth is a plus
  • Land use/environmental principles in the areas of transportation, capital facilities,
    environmental analysis, growth management, zoning and land use regulation
  • Theories and principles of urban and regional planning
  • The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and other federal, state, county and local laws
    and ordinances pertaining to the process
  • Environmental Impact Report interpretation
  • Zoning and subdivision principles and regulations
  • Research practices applicable to data construction permit processes
  • Basic college level statistics
  • Mapping techniques and graphic design
  • Oral and written presentation techniques
  • Legal basis for planning, zoning, and land development activities
  • Applications and processing for mapping services
  • Environmental issues relating to one or more of the following:
    • Archeology, biology, geography, ecology, zoology, air quality and noise, water
      quality and resources, land use planning, transportation, energy, environmental
      management, and agriculture
